We have explored many aspects of recycled metals in previous blogs. Today we will see where does recycled metal scrap goes next.  Recycled metal has plethora of uses – it is never wasted. Scrap metals like copper, iron, aluminum, steel, and others are collected from Dubai scrap yards recycled at metal recycling companies in Dubai and reused in the following ways:

Industrial Use

Construction projects use huge volumes of iron and steel. They are also used extensively for building infrastructure like roads and bridges. In the transportation industry, steel is used in the manufacturing of vehicles, aircrafts, etc. Iron, especially cast-iron recycling holds a lot of potential as it is used for variety of structural and decorative purposes.

Packaging

Recycled scrap metals like steel and aluminum are commonly reused as new food packaging. Most canned goods use a significant percentage of recycled metal and many are made from 100% recycled scrap metals.

Recycled scrap metal can reappear on shelves as a new food or beverage container with a quick turnaround time of around 2 months. This process is extremely efficient and economical. Additionally, recycled aluminum requires less processing and as a result, also reduces emission of greenhouse gases than new aluminum. This makes the production of packaging using recycled metal both eco-friendlier and more cost-effective as compared to creating cans using new aluminum.

Home Furnishings

If we take a good look around our house, we will stumble upon many instances wherein recycled metal has been put to use. Furnishings, fixtures, and lighting make use of recycled metal components. Metal roofing these days sometimes are made completely out of recycled metals.

Various artists have got creative and used the scrap metal to create modern artwork and décor material. It has been instrumental in inspiring people in reusing and recycling rather than replacing the decor with new items.

Copper is an important component in a common household. Recycled copper is used in structure of a household, plumbing materials, cable, and heat exchanges. It is also used in air conditioning systems.

Right from industrial and manufacturing to household, recycled metal scrap is used in all shapes and forms. Dubai scrap trading provide you with endless possibilities and innovations that you can discover when you choose to recycle your scrap metal.

THANK YOU FOR THE LESSONS, 2020.

The year 2020 can be defined as overwhelming, unexpected challenging and uncertain due to aviation accidents, celebrity deaths and various natural disasters including the COVID-19 pandemic faced by billions of humans around the world.

COVID 19 pandemic has hit economic activities globally, thus metal recycling companies in Dubai have been affected too. The pandemic and ensuing lockdown restrictions have disrupted the supply chain and hampered the collection of scrap metals and its availability in Scrap metal yards in Dubai. Further, industrial units including automotive and construction industries have either slowed-down or halted their activities. This implied low generation of scrap metals from such sectors and hence low supplies to Dubai scrap yards and across the UAE. If you want to know more about will the metal recycling business be able to pick up the pace once again after the pandemic read this blog post http://blog.luckygroup.com/2020/11/will-metal-recycling-business-be-able.html

However, despite its devastations and disappointments, the year has presented some valuable opportunities for learning and growth, and these takeaways should not be forgotten as 2020 rolls into 2021.

2021 is expected to be the year which will transform the world into a new direction of advancements including our, technology, science and business sectors.

So, let us prepare for 2021 by following these useful tips:

  • To have plans and realistic goals in order to adjust to ever-changing circumstances as they evolve.
  • Focus attention on possibilities and opportunities instead of worrying on things which are not in your control.
  • Our mental health is strongly influenced by our physical health so be grateful for what we have.

As this year comes to an end, we at Lucky Group and scrap metal recyclers Lucky Recycling would like to take this opportunity to wish all our colleagues, staff, associates and clients a happy and prosperous New Year 2021.

May the coming year bring you health, wealth, peace and joy. We look forward to working together with you in the New Year.

Aluminium – The Most Versatile Metal

Aluminium is one of the most versatile metals which are used in various products for both industrial and non-industrial applications. Aluminum and its alloys always have large demand in the Dubai scrap yards. As there is more demand for aluminum and its alloys in the market, production of aluminum is done on high level.

But choosing the right grade of aluminium to meet the needs of your demand it is very important. Aluminum comes in many different shapes and grades. The type of aluminium grade you choose ultimately depends on how you intend to use the metal.

Aluminium on a large scale is used for packaging purpose. It includes drinking cans, foil wrapping, bottle tops, foil containers etc. The main reason behind using aluminium for packing of food is that it is completely impermeable. It also does not let the aroma or taste out of the food packaging. It is non-toxic metal. Aluminium alloy 1100 is commercially pure aluminium. Thin, ductile with excellent workability, aluminium foil is an everyday presence in our lives is commonly used in the chemical and food processing industries.

Aluminum and its alloys are used in many aircrafts. As it is light in weight, less energy is used in moving the vehicle and it becomes easy to fly the plane. It is also used in trains, boats and cars. 7000 alloy series commonly used for making aircraft components.

Aluminum has been used in high voltage electrical transmission, in place of copper as it is the most cost efficient power line material. Aluminum has other electrical applications too including TV aerials, satellite dishes, and it is the standard base for bulbs.

Aluminium alloy 6063 commonly known as architectural alloy to construct the buildings.  Buildings made with aluminium are virtually maintenance free due to the strength of aluminium's corrosions resistance. It is also used to build roofs, doors, window panes etc. It is very well suited for anodizing applications.

The most of good qualities of aluminium alloy is 6061.  This grade has a great range of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance; as a result, it is used in a wide variety of products and application such as a construction material and automotive components.

Lucky Recycling handles wide range of aluminium scrap metals which are an excellent choice for industrial applications. As an Urban miner in the region, we always help you out with your intentions about recycling metals at different locations in UAE.  We are privileged to deal with some of the loyal customers in different parts of the world who have always appreciated our service and quality of products.

Have an old car that nobody wants?

Recycling Mantra - Contributes towards sustainability and ensures optimum usage of resources.

So you ended up keeping and maintaining that old car over the years, but now with the new emission norms, it can no longer be driven. That old beauty which you have used down the years has now turned into a beast of burden that nobody wants to buy.

A lot of car lovers get stuck up in such situations where they simply cannot get rid of a vehicle. This can happen over time because they get too outdated or because their maintenance costs increase to a level that they become too expensive to own. Rising fuel costs are not too helpful in such a situation either.

The next best thing that one could do is find another owner or let it just lie there in the parking lot getting covered in dust. After a couple of months, such vehicles eventually end up getting scrapped at the junk yards.

What does one do? If you love the environment, the best thing you could do, is to take your vehicle to a car recycler. Car recyclers are not scrap buyers in Dubai! They are a team of field experts who would disassemble or shred your car completely, in a step-by-step manner. They would either quote you a lumsum price for your car or give you a price for the different parts individually.

This helps the environment by not discarding the entire car, with all the lubricants, and oils intact, which eventually leak out (including toxic substances from batteries) and damage the environment. Additionally the car owner get better value as well that helps channel the various metals that can be used and helps them reach scrap metal yards in Dubai

Metal scrap companies in Dubai would then segregate the ferrous & non-ferrous scrap metals and re-process them into raw materials suitable for various industries around the world  or melt them into ingots which gets delivered to manufacturers; eventually reaching the production line as a new product.

So the next time you know someone who is about to junk their car, tell them what they could do to help save the environment.
